Urban Birdin'

there were a couple of times last week when my eye was caught by our flying friends in their "natural" urban environment. i don't know how many pigeon paintings you can do, but i know i want to paint a lot of them lately. huddled on a windowsill, beautiful blue winter sky reflected behind them... lined up on the Connor's Road street sign that i pass under every morning on my way to work, just a'hanging out, flaunting all the colour and tonal variations that make up one of our most common, yet quite beautiful, feathered neighbors.

that- and this dude who was brazenly sneaking as close to me as he dared for a couple of fries left on the sidewalk. totally entertaining :)
